Why should I register with FlexCAD.com?
Besides becoming a closer member of the PI network, registering with FlexCAD.com gives you access to our 30 day trial download. It also allows you to participate in our online forums. Click the "trial registration" tab to begin the registration process.
I can't login with my username and password
Once you have completed the registration form you will need to confirm your registration through your email. An email was automatically generated and sent to the email you listed on the registration form. Read and follow all of the instructions in the email.
Once you confirm your email you are able to enter your username and password. If you are having trouble accessing the site with your username and password be sure to click the "remember me" check box located on the login menu. Where do I download the 30 day trial?
Log in with your username and password. If you are not automatically redirected to the trial download page you will need to click the "trial download" tab that now appears in the site menu. Are there tutorials available?

The FlexCAD software isn't detecting the correct license

Make sure the hardware lock is firmly attached to the back of the machine. Once this has been confirmed, browse to your FlexCAD 3.63D install CD. From the CD, run D:\License\Rainbow\WIN_NT\SetupX86.exe. Once the window comes up, select Functions >> Install Sentinel Driver from the pull-down menu. A window will pop up with a path prompt; click OK. You will then be prompted that the instsallation was successful and to restart the machine.

Hardware lock installation instructions

Make sure the user has the hardware lock firmly attached to the back of the machine. Once this has been confirmed, direct the user to the client machine. If the user has the 3.60 version CD, have them run D:\360_Common\Rainbow\WIN_NT\SetupX86.exe; for 3.63D (and later) version CD(s), D:\License\Rainbow\WIN_NT\SetupX86.exe. Once the window comes up, select Functions >> Install Sentinel Driver from the pull-down menu. After that, a window will pop up with a path prompt; to which the user should click OK. The user will be prompted that it was successful and to restart the machine.

FlexCAD isn't seeing the license

Open Windows Explorer and navigate to your product folder (default is C:\Idswin\Iso for IDS-ISO). Check the Date Modified for the LSERVRC file. If this date is from the year 2000, you will need to replace this file with the version sent to you by

After this is done restart your FlexCAD product. If this works, the step will need to be duplicated for each product that you are licensed for.
If there is still an issue retrieving a license, open Windows Explorer and browse to your C:\Idsnet folder. In this folder, make a copy of FCNLOLIC.txt and then rename it to FCNLOLICbak.txt. Run ECHOID.exe. This will create a new FCNLOLIC.txt. Then open the new FCNLOLIC.txt and FCNLOLICbak.txt to compare them. If any of the lines after 2-XXXX are different, the SLO Installation will need to be redone.

SLO installation instructions

On the client machine, open Windows Explorer. Insert the FlexCAD Installation CD into the machine. If the FlexCAD Install CD is version 3.60, run D:\360_Common\360_NLO\Setup.exe; for 3.63D (and later) version CD(s), run D:\License\360_Nlo\Setup.exe. Follow the prompts in the wizard. Default values will install the IDSNET directory on the C:\ drive.
Browse to the installed C:\Idsnet folder and run FCNLOLIC.EXE. It is required that this application be run while physically on the client machine...not from a remote connection. Once FCNLOLIC.EXE is run, it will bring up a dialog box asking for company information which needs to be filled in. After completing the form, click OK. This generates an FCNLOLIC.TXT file in the C:\Idsnet folder. The FCNLOLIC.TXT file will then need to sent to Cathi via email
You will receive an email from Cathi Bunn that contains an LSERVRC.ZIP file. You will need to place this file in your FlexCAD product folders (i.e. C:\Idswin\ISO for IDS-ISO) on the client machine; and then unzip the contents into the same folder. This will replace the existing version of LSERVRC in the folder.
